Why Sundays?

Why do we come to Church on Sundays?

This is the time of the week set aside to worship God with brothers & sisters in Christ, and those who come simply to find out more about our Lord.. This is a day of rest from all of the actions and activities that we have to undertake for 6 days of the week.  God worked for 6 days in creating, and rested from His work on the 7th day and this day we set aside to worship Him.

It is a privilege to be able to meet together on the Lord's day, so many others, locally, nationally and internationally, are unable to leave their homes and meet freely together. We really need to take advantage of the time we have to meet together.  As we meet, may God bless us with attentive hearts and help us to take in the words He has specifically for each one of us.

We do pray that you may be able to learn of God with us.

Our Pastor Rev Edward Evans, brings God's Word to us each week during the Morning and Evening services, apart from the times we have visiting speakers. We come with anticipation to hear the Word of God.

If you are unable to be here with us, you are still able to listen to the reading of the scriptures and the Word of God that is preached. The sermons can be found in our section entitled 'Sermons & Messages'

May God bless you each Sunday.

As it says in Exodus 20v 8-11

8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
9 Six days you shall labour and do all your work,
10  but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Today, society has changed in so many ways and many treat Sunday as any other day of the week. Employment puts many pressures on family and Church life. Many occupations require attendance at the place of work on Sundays. However, it is still the Lord's day and we can still treat it as such.

Even though it can be difficult to have the time on Sunday to come to church, it is good that we make every possible effort to meet together on this day.

We have TWO services each Sunday

Morning Service: 10:45am (including Sunday School)

Evening Service: 5:00pm
